The VBG IoT & Vehicles organization's mission is to leverage generational industry decisions, coupled with Verizon's world-class network-as-a-service assets, to capture share in the massive IoT market. The strategic operations team supports these efforts through an interlock approach with stakeholders across Verizon.
This strategic operations position reports into the Sr Dir of IoT Strategic Operations and works directly with the SVP, Senior Directors, Executive Assistant and extended sales, product, network and strategy teams to manage Promotional Engagements, Executive Engagements, and Strategic Communications. We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual committed to contributing to the organization's success through delivering world-class experiences in support of our internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a solid working knowledge of trade shows and event management on a global scale, and advanced presentation development skills including research and preparation of key talking points.
This role directly supports the IoT Sr Executive and Sr Directors, is uniquely focused on driving revenue and customer relationships in the Verizon IIoT & Connected Vehicle sales, solutions, and program delivery organization, including execution of the following critical operations areas:
Internal Communications - conception, development, coordination, and execution - visualization and illustrations of operational data, customer demographics, and strategy
What you'll be doing
Program/Project Managing: the end-to-end internal and external executive engagement process in support of trade shows and events (owning the relationship with the external entity from selection through contracting and management), customer meetings and engagements, All Team broadcasts, industry association engagements, periodic internal reviews, and others. Teaming with Marketing on Tier 1 Events and with Marketing and Enterprise Sales Operations on Tier 2&3 events Developing presentation content and maintaining a library of current materials for use by the IIoT & Vehicles team; coordinating legal and branding review of externally-facing assets as needed Composing internal communications, developing content through monitoring and distilling information relevant to the IIoT & Vehicles team Using data and metrics to understand and distill key financial and operational performance metrics for internal messaging on a monthly basis Monitoring team wins and partners with sales to create win stories for internal amplification Partnering with the broader operations team to share information, priorities, best practices, and explore opportunities to learn from one another while driving organizational effectiveness as a team Managing the V Team recognition program for the IIoT & Vehicles team Maintaining periodic updates to distribution lists, org charts, and other business support tasks Promoting Corporate and team values objectives in relation to vision, mission, and strategy.
You'll need to have
Knowledge and experience of the IoT industry, what drives customer and partner engagement, and ability to translate that knowledge and experience into the most ideal promotional investment Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training. Experience managing internal and external events A strategic mindset Strong financial acumen along with impeccable attention to detail Demonstrated excellent communication skills with the ability to adjust the message based on the intended audience and format of the message (i.e. verbal, written, slides, etc) Experience communicating with, and effectively presenting information to, executive leaders Demonstrated ability to work effectively within time constraints and manage multiple projects or initiatives. Strong relationship-building skills along with experience working in a matrixed environment Ability to thrive in in a fast-paced, independent environment underpinned by strong decision-making skills A willingness to travel occasionally for event support Exceptional proficiency in GSuite (particularly Google Slides) for the articulation of complex messaging and concepts

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $108,000.00 and $200,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
