Continuous Improvement Manager

Position Purpose: Position Purpose: To assist with the communication, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company wide Quality Management System (QMS) and interact with all departments of the organization to ensure compliance to the current version of the ISO9001 standard. Assure the organization's conformance to Company Policies and Procedures and lead the organization in continuous improvement-process initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities

* Support achievement of Corporate Initiatives and Quality Objectives through the implementation and execution of LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies to improve productivity and quality throughout the organization

* Work with senior management and the Quality Council to ensure Quality Objectives are established and met annually

* Lead (Lean) Kaizen events to eliminate unproductive activities, identify and track cost reduction opportunities and improve productivity and quality across the organization

* Assist in maintaining a web based MJE Company Wide Quality System including the quality manual, operating procedures and quality forms that comply with the current release of the ISO9001 standard

* Perform project site assessments & internal audits of company policies, procedures and processes and recommend Corrective and Preventive Action plans to promote process and continuous improvement

* Provides support in the preparation, evaluation and implementation of standard company policies and procedures.

* Provides awareness & communication training of the Quality Management System throughout the organization

* Support the execution and communication of the company's Strategic Plan, Mission Statement and Quality Policy

* Work with, train and assist field leadership with the implementation of effective quality project plans and the execution of inspection and testing plans (ITP) per company defined criteria

* Assist in the development and organization of electronic documented evidence required by QMS

* Assist with the preparation for Management Review meetings

Knowledge | Skills | Abilities

* Knowledge of All Aspects of Construction Processes, Procedures and Quality Requirements

* Ability to collect and assemble data for the development of process improvement

* Ability to analyze complex information and formulate decisions

* Strong PC skills and software proficiency

* Strong managerial/leadership skills.

* Obtain green and black belt certifications

* Ability to communicate effectively with operations and operational support

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Quality Management, Business Administration, or Construction Management (or equivalent)

* American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification (Preferred)

* Equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position

Work Environment

* Occasional travel to jobsites and regional offices (Approx 50%)

* Must be able to remain in a stationary position over 50% of the time

* The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc

* Continuously operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, scanner, and computer printer

* The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and coworkers and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

* Occasionally lifting 20 pounds
