Annual Compensation: $125,000.00 per year

This unique position will be a major driver of future productivity for the enterprise. The Sr. Developer must have in-depth knowledge of Business Intelligence, including design, development, integration and hands-on implementation skills. This position is responsible for assisting in the development of the Business Intelligence vision to the company, setting and managing internal customer expectations and making recommendations about development and methods based on analysis involving a variety of team members. This leader will be responsible for project management and implementation and work closely with the CIO and department leaders to establish strategy for Business Intelligence and strategic Website design. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Participates fully in the establishment of EMSC's information technology vision and strategies to implement the approved vision and drive business growth. The successful candidate must be comfortable working with team members in multiple locations.

Summary:

  • Assist in the design, development and implementation of business intelligence initiatives across the enterprise
  • Develop and manage the architecture activities required to provide a web 'portal' platform for unifying the user experience with multiple applications.
  • Perform a leadership role in the analysis and integration of multiple data sources to develop high value business intelligence applications.
  • Identify and solve data quality issues through the application of business rules and/or business process standardization.
  • Work with various business owners and Corporate Communications to ensure functionality and 'brand' communication standards are met.
  • Ensure the development projects meet business, budget and timeline objectives. Lead full life cycle projects, successfully, on time and on budget.
  • Communicate project status to end users and management * Report to the Sr VP Information Technology with agreed-upon metrics tied to business goals and tracking the progress of efforts to define and implement vision architecture.
  • Manage multiple complex projects including package implementation and custom development.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to develop and present complex material effectively to a variety of audiences - technical and non-technical, staff, management and leadership.
  • Provide strong skills in organizing/facilitating/leading/controlling technical meetings.

Qualifications:

Education & Industry Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline
  • 10-15 years Information Technology Experience *
  • 5 years Business Intelligence experience *
  • 5 years Website implementation experience *
  • Logical and physical database design *
  • Experience multiple databases such as SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle
  • 2 years' experience with Business Objects
  • Experience with ETL Tools
  • 5 years' experience with .NET development
