Quality Control Technician (QCT)

Location: Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Artesia, New Mexico

Position Type: Onsite

Summary:

The Quality Control Technician (QCT) provides essential quality control services necessary to support the operation of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Artesia, New Mexico. The QCT is responsible for ensuring that all services meet the required standards outlined in the contract, by establishing and maintaining a comprehensive Quality Control Program (QCP). The position involves performing inspections, identifying deficiencies, and taking corrective action to ensure that performance is consistent with quality expectations.

Responsibilities:




  • Establish and maintain a complete Quality Control Program (QCP) to ensure contract requirements are met.



  • Perform quality control inspections covering all services included in the contract.



  • Identify deficiencies in service quality and take corrective action before performance becomes unsatisfactory.



  • Maintain a customer complaint feedback system, correct validated complaints, and inform customers of corrections.



  • Prepare and submit monthly QC reports detailing inspections, findings, solutions, and status.




Requirements:




  • Minimum of one (1) year of QC/lead technician experience utilizing formal QC systems and processes in industry and business related to contract functions.



  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.



  • Physically capable of performing assigned work and free from infectious diseases.



  • Experience in scheduling, inventory, and other operational tasks related to the contract.




Preferred Qualifications:




  • Experience with quality control processes in a government or law enforcement training environment.



  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address service quality issues effectively.
