Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, schedules, or product specifications to determine procedures for testing.
- Inspects cylinders for visual defects.
- Tests cylinders for structural defects.
- Place and remove fittings from the cylinders by following appropriate protocol.
- Rejects defective parts, and marks defects accordingly.
- Works at different work stations as production needs require.
- Sets up and operates machines according to the specifications.
- Monitor the finished products obtained to ensure the quality conforms to the specifications.
- Monitor the working of the machine and report the need of improvement, defects or malfunctions, etc.
- Operation of lifting devices as needed.
- Looks for opportunity to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes and overall improvement efforts.
- Follows all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
- Read, understand and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
- Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
- Shut down process if unsafe.
- Follow proper machine shutdown procedures.
