Job Purpose and Summary:

Responsible for maintaining the warehouse and equipment. Responsible for scheduling routes and dispatching delivery employees on a daily and on-call basis. Supports delivery and pick-up of patient medications, supplies, and equipment. Responsible for procuring supplies and equipment in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

1. Ensures proper rotation and maintenance of inventory.

2. Coordinates time schedules and distributing routes evenly, with pharmacy, nursing, and patient. Assigns additional routes as patient and referral requests are received.

3. Backs up purchasing representative, dispatch coordination, and asset tracking.

4. Performs general housekeeping duties in the warehouse and delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local and Joint Commission requirements.

5. Gathers supplies/equipment for patient orders in preparation for shipment/delivery. Coordinates equipment tracking procedures.

6. Assists with inventory control, including purchasing, receiving, stocking, and recordkeeping.

7. Documents supplies on Patient Delivery Record. Maintains delivery log of activities per policy and procedure.

8. Retrieves and returns supplies and equipment, upon discharge from patient service. Cleans and processes returned equipment and supplies in accordance with polices and procedures.

9. Participates in performance improvement activities as directed.

10. Assists in training and orientation of new employees. Assists less experienced warehouse reps.

11. Receives all incoming shipments and disseminates to appropriate person. Audits and monitors delivery productivity levels as developed by management staff.

12. Handles all incoming and outgoing shipments. Maintains communication with delivery employees regarding equipment orders and patient problems. Transports and delivers medication supplies and equipment to patients in a safe and secure manner to prevent damange, spoilage, or loss of such items.

13. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education:

High School Diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED)

Other License(s):

Valid driver's license (required)

Prior Relevant Work Experience:

1 to 3 years (required)

Essential Qualifications and Functions:

The minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) which are absolutely required to successfully perform the job. Be sure to include any required physical attributes of the job. Ensure language "regarding regular and predictable attendance" is an essential function of each job. Essential requirements should also include "any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager" e.g. travel requirements, etc.

* Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with occasional up to 100 pounds.
