Manager Financial Reporting Position Summary The Manager Financial Reporting is responsible for managing a team whose main function is the timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting for JetBlue Airways Corporation. The Manager directs the financial statement close process and oversees the financial statement audit and research accounting issues.The Manager also has overall responsibility for all financial reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Department of Transportation and other governmental entities. Essential Responsibilities
- Drive the monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting close process, ensuring timeliness and compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for both external reporting and internal management reporting
- Oversee the filing processes required for SEC reporting including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks as well as related XBRL tagging
- Assist in the drafting of all components of 10-K and 10-Q filings, including the consolidated financial statements, notes and management discussion and analysis
- Assist in supporting the quarterly earnings release, earnings call preparation and investor update
- Responsible for Earnings per Share (EPS) calculation
- Responsible for financial reporting to the Department of Transportation on Form 41 and related schedules (monthly, quarterly and annually)
- Evaluate internal financial reporting needs and prepare internal monthly financial statements, including consolidated financial statements, cash flow statement and preparation of separate company financial statements
- Responsible for accounting for crewmember stock incentive compensation
- Responsible for completing numerous domestic and international government surveys
- Responsible for partnering with information technology and financial planning team in evaluation and implementation of a consolidation tool
- Monitor new accounting pronouncements, research technical accounting issues and assist in determining the impact on financial statements and disclosures
- Prepare written technical accounting memos and consult with senior management regarding JetBlue's alternatives with respect to these issues
- Partner with external and internal auditors and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls
- Compile 401(k) plan financial statements and coordinate audit activities
- Coordinate with a cross functional team from Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Investor Relations and Legal
- Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth and goal achievement
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Five (5) years of experience in Public Accounting and/or in a financial reporting/accounting capacity of an SEC registrant
- Proven understanding of accounting theory and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, with a high emphasis on Excel
- Excellent organizational skills
- SAP experience

Crewmember Expectations:
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours, including weekends during 10-Q and 10-K periods, and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue's Safety Management System

- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
- The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $120,000.00 and $150,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
