SUMMARY
Pepperidge Farm provides an excellent learning environment for the Maintenance Intern. The person in this position is considered to be an integral part of the maintenance staff. Under guidance of the Maintenance Manager and/or maintenance supervisors, the student will be assigned tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Inventories and controls stock of supplies.
2. Able to perform preventative maintenance as required such as lubricants and dismantling and cleaning of parts.
4. Performs duties in a safe manner using all approved safety equipment as instructed.
5. Able to apply general mechanical knowledge/abilities.
6. Performs duties in accordance with the Business Process Documentation.
7. Participates in Pepperidge Farm's Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements.

Additional Job Responsibilities:
1. Apply good work habits.
2. Assist in maintenance of all equipment.
3. Maintains an effective working relationship with all department employees.
4. Maintains a neat and orderly working area throughout the work day.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
2. Currently enrolled in an Industrial Maintenance or other technical program
(1st or 2nd year student).
3. Ability to read, write and understand work instructions (English).
4. Familiar with operating power tools.
5. Ability to take supervision.
6. Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team member.
7. Must be able to safely perform essential job responsibilities.
8. Flexibility in work hours.
9. Regular full-time attendance.
10. Promotes Pepperidge Farm in a positive manner and obeys all policies.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
