The Warehouse Specialist receives, stores, records, and packs equipment, materials, and supplies for international shipment. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Range for Warehouse Specialist: $20hr to $21hr Pay commensurate with experience. Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. Warehouse Specialist Responsibilities Include:
- Receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, supplies, or tools, and compiles stock records of items in stockrooms and warehouses.
- Count, sort, or weigh incoming articles to verify receipt of items with purchase order.
- Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications. Pack articles in tri-walls/pallets, on floor or on racks, according to identifying information, such as style, size, or type of material.
- Fill orders or issues supplies from stock.
- Prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
- Prepare Supply Request forms for warehouse packing, banding and labeling materials.
- Compile reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
- May mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles. * Perform manual tasks including staging, transporting, packing/unpacking items, marking items, and cleaning and maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and facilities to maintain compliance with safety regulations.
- Operate government-owned vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks daily to include preventative maintenance service and walk around safety inspections.
- Comply with all Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures including Receiving, Shipping, Transportation, and Safety.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Warehouse Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must hold a valid U.S. driver's license
- Minimum 2 years' Experience in a warehouse environment with progressive responsibilities in inventory handling and processing.
- Experience operating electric forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Forklift Certification will provide forklift training and certification.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. * Must have working knowledge of inventory systems.
- Familiarity with Royal 4 WISE Warehouse Management System a Plus
- Have ability to write accurately and legibly and be adept at basic math skills.
- Must meet physical requirements, such as standing and bending for long periods of time, and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
