Scheduler

The Scheduler coordinates and utilizes the ERP system to schedule the flow of work and materials within or between work centers. The Scheduler will assist the Master Scheduler in following up on a long-range "build plan" forecasting production levels for the coming three-month period

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

* Reviewing and entering work orders
* Completing jobs for shipment schedules
* Schedule jobs upon receipt of sales order entry from Project Management. Verify the weekly plant schedule by work center using the Shop Load Detail Report from the ERP system.
* Report job status and scheduled shipments in weekly production meetings.
* Monitor and analyze work center loads. Work with Master Scheduler to review reports that show imbalance and make suggestions and update the balance of work center loads.
* Work with Production Managers and Supervisors to verify data collection through labor edit report. Manage the job completion cycle by closing jobs daily.
* Coordinate with Production Supervisor regarding travelers for Assembly only jobs to ensure they are started on time.
* Run two job status reports weekly (monthly and complete).
* Schedule all cold press and melamine jobs.
* Work with Engineering to update jobs if a BOM is changed.
* Work with Purchasing to ensure jobs are in line with material arrival.
* Provide dashboard reporting that includes schedule attainment and overall production numbers for upper management.
* Run various weekly reports to ensure jobs are correctly scheduled properly.
* Run time phase negative report and schedule jobs as needed for all customers daily.
* Oversee the planning work bench that have items entered on sales orders without part numbers.
* Responsible for meeting with procurement and make part subs as needed.
