Role Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, Customer and Channel Marketing, U.S. Equine role will lead all evergreen and seasonal program and promotional efforts for the Equine business unit; provide dedicated marketing support for corporate/specialty accounts, strategic partnership agreements (SPAs), MZR, and the distribution channel; champion loyalty and L&D initiatives; develop customer marketing initiatives targeted toward non-aligned equine veterinary accounts (including leveraging the Vetcove platform), and serve as the primary Go-To-Market liaison between field sales, strategic accounts, distribution, OTC and Retail channels for communications, content and collateral.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong financial understanding of programs, profitability and performance analysis and the development of effective end-to-end promotions with an eye to business strategy and ROI. They will be able to communicate and drive alignment with an array of stakeholders, including Finance, Strategic Accounts, NRM, Channel, Retail/OTC, Business Analytics, Field Sales, and the internal Equine Marketing and leadership team, while ensuring the strategies of the Equine business unit are pulled through all touchpoints effectively.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead all seasonal and evergreen program and promotion efforts for U.S. Equine, including program financials, communications/assets, tools/processes and analysis/reporting
  • Serve as marketing liaison for corporate and specialty accounts and translate existing Equine strategies and materials into content/collateral geared toward these audiences
  • Guide customer loyalty and retention efforts, including dedicated liaison to MZR and Strategic Partnership Agreements (SPAs)
  • Liaison with Channel/Distribution to pull through portfolio and strategic product efforts through strong collaboration and co-marketing
  • Develop marketing initiatives targeting unaligned equine veterinary customers to ensure we drive full value and reach this audience with our marketing and promotional messages, including leveraging Vetcove
  • Drive marketing operations for key marketing meetings and events, including National Sales Meeting, Summer Meeting, AAEP, and other ad hoc meeting needs - ensuring marketing strategies are appropriately pulled through and communicated, and managing all relevant logistics
  • Serve as lead point of contact across all go-to-market channels, including field sales, Distribution, Retail, OTC and strategic accounts - identifying content and marketing opportunities and pulling through marketing strategies into channel-specific communications and collateral
  • Serve as lead for Equine L+D and LMS content development and collaboration, pulling through approved strategies into these educational channels
  • Communicate marketing efforts internally, including driving Town Hall agenda, attending key Area meetings, leading relevant cross-functional teams (CFTs) and serving as the field force marketing point of contact

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Four-year degree in business, marketing, finance, communications or other related job function required
  • Graduate degrees in similar fields or other professional certifications may help a candidate stand out, but are not mandatory.
  • 5+ years experience in a similar or related position or one with transferrable skills.
  • Strong financial fluency, including profitability assessments, price memo development, growth projections and ROI analysis required.
  • Effective and persuasive oral and written communications skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple high-impact workflows on-time and against budget are mandatory.
  • Given the role this plays in liaising with myriad internal and external stakeholders, strong collaboration, presentation and interpersonal skills are essential.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Financial analysis expertise -- required
  • Proficiency in Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint especially) -- required
  • Fluency with CRC/Vault systems and processes - preferred
  • Fluency with price memo development or demonstrated ability to learn quickly - required

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to
be located in (Colorado). Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.

Base Pay Range: $104,000-$149,000

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in (California), (NJ Remote), (NY Remote), or (Washington). Base pay may vary based on location and
other factors.

Base Pay Range: $110,000-$168,000
