Head of Talent Management

Position Summary:

The Head of Talent Management is responsible for developing, communicating, and executing a comprehensive and integrated talent management strategy with a scalable and practical framework to support talent management practices globally. This role will be part of the Talent & Engagement Center of Excellence and partner closely with the with the broader HR organization and HR Business Partners in executing on an overall strategy to help ensure the organization has the current and future capabilities needed to achieve organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute an overarching strategy and detailed roadmap, with a focus on key activities including talent review frameworks, succession planning, assessment strategy and performance management.
  • Understand the business needs and challenges of the organization and can translate them into talent management strategies that drive business outcomes.
  • Deliver talent management practices in partnership and close collaboration with HR Business Partners. Be a collaborative leader who understands how to achieve buy-in from multiple stakeholders across a matrixed organization.
  • Understand how to translate talent practices into technical specifications and drive digitization for enhance productivity, experience, and analytics.
  • Functional expertise in succession planning, skills assessment, performance management frameworks, including understanding and sharing best practices and talent trends.
  • Use a data-drive approach to identify focus areas. Have needle-moving measurement at the forefront of program design.
  • Collaborate with peers on the Talent Acquisition and Talent Development Team to optimize talent management practices and leadership development activities.
  • Create an assessment strategy in alignment with the Talent Management framework.
  • Supervise, evaluate and development small team of professionals.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree or equivalent in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, or a similar discipline preferred.
  • Additional training in instrumentation, tools, and instructional design practices is desirable.

Experience:

  • 10+ years' experience successfully operating a complex organization, with a background in education, leadership development and/or learning and development.
  • Experience in developing relationships at all levels of the organization with an ability to influence outcomes without authority.
  • Experience with multiple change, team building, and competency models

Knowledge, Skills, Ability Requirements:

  • Demonstrated track record of achievement in designing and implementing talent management practices and assessments.
  • Strong project management, complex problem-solving, organizational, and process skills.
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including effective presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
