Acting independently, QA Advisor certifies the quality of new and existing products by executing test plans and scripts to verify that new or modified software programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines. Communicate and coordinate results with impacted departments and track statistical information. At times, may be assigned to help coordinate test activities of others on small projects.

This position can be worked remotely anywhere in the U.S.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Executes and creates test plans with clear and concise scripts to test new functionality or enhancements to existing functionality within Salesforce or other applications as applicable.
  • Defines comprehensive scenarios and variations in data to adequately perform testing.
  • Schedules and performs functional, integration, regression, and release testing; submits errors and issues to development correction, and retests once errors have been corrected.
  • Reports test results and status as appropriate. Track defects and causal analyses to closure. Acts independently to review and certify test results of other analysts and testers.
  • Reviews and provides feedback on requirements, design, or scope documents.
  • Works as part of scrum team and collaborates regularly with other members and participates in various scrum ceremonies.
  • Interacts with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and development teams to identify and refine test requirements.
  • Serves as liaison between technical and non-technical departments during UAT support to ensure that all requirements are met as per user specifications.
  • Supports and advocates established testing procedures and may provide input to establish those procedures.
  • Contributes to Test management plan for corrections and updates. May keep document up-to-date as needed with proper version control.
  • Plans, coordinates, and reports the test activities of others as assigned. Performs test reviews.
  • Develops and creates test design frameworks and teaches team members how to implement testing processes.
  • Keeps abreast of software industry "Best Practices" and trends and communicates new information to QA team.
  • May assist with automated scripts and implementation of the same as needed.
  • Cross-trains and mentors less experienced QA team members.
  • May create and maintain test libraries, databases, and test environments and test data
  • Work on various SDLC tools like ADO, JIRA to document and report test results and output.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum 14 years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or a related field.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Software Testing certification preferred.
