Position Summary
The Sr. Radiation Safety Specialist is responsible for supporting and monitoring City of Hope Orange
County, Radiation Safety practices, policies, and procedures, to meet regulatory and other applicable requirements. Reviews and oversees radiation installations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, subject to the supervision of the Radiation Safety Officer. Evaluates the physical environment by conducting inspections to identify unsafe hazards or conditions and implements actions and safeguards as warranted. The Sr. Radiation Safety Specialist will act as a proactive consultant to City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center and regional network sites Key Responsibilities include:
Follows established City of Hope and department policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines, including adherence to the workplace Code of Conduct and Compliance Plan. Practices a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.
