Job Description:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in providing IT support across various systems and devices, who can troubleshoot, install, and maintain both hardware and software within an enterprise environment. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for resolving technical issues, ensuring system functionality, and advising users on best practices, all while maintaining a high standard of customer service.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Respond to IT requests and provide technical assistance to users via phone, email, or the incident management system.
  • Manage and resolve issues through a trouble ticket queue, adhering to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Perform remote and in-person troubleshooting by utilizing diagnostic techniques and effective questioning.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software as per documented procedures.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support, including vendor communication if necessary.
  • Ensure that all technical issues are resolved satisfactorily and verify that solutions have been fully implemented.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to processes and procedures where applicable.
  • Develop and maintain detailed installation, configuration, and operational procedures.
  • Interact with users in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Provide regular updates to management on incident resolution status and ongoing support efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Support Manager.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in IT support, technical troubleshooting, or a similar customer service role.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and related technologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Office 365.
  • Familiarity with Anti-Virus and Encryption technologies.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LDAP, DHCP, DNS, and VPNs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, actively listen, and ask insightful questions.
  • Skilled in researching and resolving a wide range of technical issues.
  • Quick learner with the ability to absorb new information and retain technical knowledge.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated with a keen eye for detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus.
