We are looking for a Senior Risk Compliance Advisor to provide invaluable contributions across various dimensions of the virtual information security program, including customer planning, risk management, and compliance oversight, and ensures services are developed to meet cutting edge industry demands. As a subject matter expert, (SME), this position has key responsibilities which encompass comprehensive risk assessment process development, risk management system administration, and other highly complex and visible projects that impact operational success. The Senior Advisor, Risk Compliance role is client facing and requires adept communication skills, particularly in articulating business risks to internal and external customers, executives, and stakeholders, as well as transferring strategic information and security knowledge to less experienced peers.
This position can be worked remotely anywhere in the US. Working hours are flexible, dependent on time zone.
What you'll be responsible for:
  • Provides risk and compliance consulting services to financial institutions, including but not limited to:
    • Regulatory compliance consulting service engagements focused on initial and ongoing management of Information Technology (IT) and Information Security
    • Onsite security review/evaluation services for IT Risk Assessment
    • Ongoing compliance management
    • Virtual CISO services
    • Business Continuity Planning
    • Information Security Officer Advisor
    • Data Classification
    • IT Audit Support
    • IT Risk Assessment
  • Coordinates, reports, and presents risk related assessments to customers and researches regulations impacting IT pertaining to Finance.
  • Provides internal and external communications regarding IT, security and compliance.
  • Supports Business Development by identifying customer needs for services.
  • Presents to client and internal IT Steering Committees.
  • Provides compliance guidance and support for Internal Operations.
  • Acts as a day-to-day system administrator for the GRC management software Including assigning, training, and maintaining users, cleaning data, verifying workflow, and participating In testing and feature updates.
  • Performs Project Management for Compliance Consulting services.
  • Maintains documentation on all customer engagement/projects, including consulting services, training provided, client needs, meetings held, requests and/or issues, time tracking.
  • Remains current on education regarding FFIEC, FDIC, OCC, FRB, NCUA, SEC, SOX and other regulatory agency guidance; obtain and maintain current industry-related compliance certifications and memberships.
  • Assists Gladiator Compliance Analysts during escalation of complex projects and with internal training to ensure staff remain current on industry trends.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in the field of information technology, cyber security, computer science, computer engineering, IT regulatory compliance, or another related field.
  • Minimum of 13 years' experience in related field.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
What would be nice for you to have:
  • Preferred certifications: Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), or any other similar certification.
  • Expertise of information security or cyber security practices including regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and/or other related areas.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience working with financial institutions.
  • Understanding of research techniques used to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Knowledge of all federal regulations, state statutes, industry standards, best practices, and other regulatory requirements and ability to develop systems and provide guidance to ensure JH remains in compliance.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and Industry expertise
