What you'll do:

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll be an integral part of Digital Disbursements, a fintech company, led by a team with deep industry experience and a strong track record of value creation. You'll operate in the digital payments space and have a proven product-market fit. You'll specialize in helping bring Business to Consumer payments to the digital age. Digital Disbursements was acquired by Western Alliance Bank (NYSE:WAL) in January 2022 and operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of WAL. The Senior QA Engineer will be reporting to and working directly with the Chief Technology Officer.

In this role you'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining product quality at all levels. You'll support Digital Disbursements business initiatives by providing superior Quality Assurance testing services. As part of this goal, you'll play a key role in multiple phases of the development life cycle including business analysis, test case design and documentation, test execution and results documentation. Additionally, you'll coordinate efforts with developers and business analysts to ensure optimal results for new development and successful resolution of defects and provide frontline support and documentation.
  • Establish QA standards, policies, and procedures for all programs.
  • Work with Business to ensure software meets technical specifications.
  • Design and executive test plans on computer applications.
  • Record and document results and compare to expected results.
  • Detect software failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected.
  • Document anomalies and issues.
  • Maintain database of software defects.
  • Examine code and execution of code in various environments.
  • Operate and maintain test networks.
  • Ensure that security requirements and best practices have been incorporated into system functional design specifications.
  • Test software systems to ensure that security development best practices have been followed, including ethical hacking techniques with proper notification and authorization.
  • Ensure that software systems comply with the IT Security Policy in all respects, including user authentication and session expiration requirements.
  • Participate in application planning meetings.

What you'll need:

  • A 7+ years of experience in the development life cycle of complex business applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of and experience with business/systems analysis and development of functional system specifications.
  • Strong problem recognition and prioritization skills.
  • Superior work ethics and sense of pride and ownership in completing assigned projects thoroughly and in compliance with the requirements.
  • 5+ years of experience writing test plans on computer applications.
  • Strong understanding of data integrity standards.
  • Experienced in using automated testing tools and services.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of React.js.
  • Strong SQL Query experience.
  • MySQL experience a big plus.
  • Amazon Web Services experience a big plus.
  • Strong experience using Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to work in a small, dynamic programming team.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
