Summary:
Perform expediting assignments required to follow-up the procurement, movement and processing of materials, supplies and equipment for an assigned department or business unit.

Responsibilities:
* Follows up and expedites procurement of material through Procurement Department and support departments, etc. to ensure that orders are available on the required date
* Communicates daily, written and verbally, with vendors and internal buyers
* Maintains records, charts, graphs, logs and progress reports as required
* Assists in preparation of regular and special reports, inventories, etc. for both internal and external analysis
* All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction.
* Prepare regular and special reports, inventories, etc. as required
* Guide the work of lower level Expeditors to satisfy the procurement/movement of material to support customer requirements
* Notify buyers and management of any issues that may impact schedules
* Assist in the training other Expeditors as required

Other information:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 2+ years of purchasing coordination of more complex activities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Effective interpersonal skills
* Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required
* Effective organization and prioritization skills
* Demonstrate high attention to detail
* Ability to work with diverse groups
* Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality and professionalism.
* Self-driven and motivated individual
* Working knowledge Microsoft office i.e. Excel and words
* Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
* Effective interpersonal skills with internally and suppliers
* Detail oriented
* Participate in a continuous improvement activity as required
* Ability to work overtime requests when needed

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Location: Santa Ana, CA

Shift: Shift 1

Work Schedule: M-Th 0500-1530

Full Time

Compensation Range: $21.13 to $31.69 USD Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
