The University of Virginia is excited to announce an opportunity within FM's North Grounds Academic Zone for an Evening Shift Custodial Supervisor. This vital position is responsible for helping to ensure that our university academic facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Our diverse portfolio includes classrooms, offices, labs and historic buildings, presenting a unique and rewarding challenge for our custodial team. The scheduled shift for this position is M - F, 11pm - 7:30am. Role Overview: As the Custodial Supervisor, you will lead a dynamic team of 10-15 frontline staff members, dedicated to ensuring our university academic areas remain a beacon of cleanliness, health, and vibrancy. Your mission is to uphold the highest standards of custodial service through effective team supervision, meticulous scheduling, and comprehensive training. Key to success is your ability to forge positive, professional relationships across the campus community, including with facility occupants, staff, colleagues, students, visitors, and leadership. Anticipated Hiring Range: $24.50 - $26.50/hour dependent on qualifications and experience. This position is also eligible for an extra $2/hour for evening shift differential. $2,000 sign-on bonus for all new hires to the University! This is a full-time position with UVA benefits. Physical Demands: This position involves working with equipment/machinery, and includes standing on different surfaces, walking extensively, stooping and bending as well as moderate lifting and climbing stairs.
