Job Summary DBA Sr. Analyst serves as a key technology leader with strategic responsibility for enabling and supporting database technologies utilized to ensure the organization meets its business goals and provides optimal management of Vistra's data assets. This role will partner and work closely with key strategic vendors, service providers as well as all other IT leaders to plan, design &/or challenge the integrity of the database architecture that support cross-functional business needs and align with longer term best practice standards and viable technology roadmaps.Job Description Key Accountabilities *
Provide database support, including monitoring, back ups, space management, patching, etc.

Provide database project support for applications, including database creation, performance tuning, upgrades, etc.

Collaborate with architecture and applications to drive database movement to Cloud.
*
Execute on simplification and automation projects to maintain a minimally viable database footprint.

Collaborate with database technology vendors and 3
rd
party support provider as it related to database support and roadmap activities.
*
Project management & ownership of small to large sized database improvement projects and automation of all routine tasks and processes.
*
Maintain the database inventory, life cycle management, and database related CMDB entries.
*
Ensure compliance for database licenses, partnering with VMO.
*
Create documentation, standards and policies for databases. Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements *
E
xperience in Oracle, SAP, SharePoint,
SQL server
, Open Source database technologies

Experience managing databases in the cloud highly desirable

Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills Key Metrics *
Database availability & recoverability

Performance of third party vendors providing application maintenance and development, as applicable.

DBA support cost Responsible for on-line and outage scheduling software and interface programs. Manages database records, coordinated with IT for software upgrades, and conducts informal training for work management and outage personnel. Is responsible for development, maintenance, and production of performance indicators. Ensure satisfactory performance and qualification of assigned personnel. Develop assigned personnel for increased responsibility and more demanding roles. Ensure station work groups perform assigned tasks per station work management processes and procedures. Fulfills CAP coordinator function for work management and outage management.
