Shift: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with flexible hours (7:00am-3:30pm, 8:00am-4:30pm, 9:00am-5:30pm, etc.) and some weekend and holiday work may be required * Base Pay Range: $19.15 - $30.23 per hour, based on experience

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Develops and maintains staffing plans aligned with patient care needs, departmental guidelines, and hospital policies. Inputs, updates, and maintains accurate schedule data in the time and attendance system, including shift assignments, employee availability, requested time off, and shift changes. Optimizes schedules, distributes shift assignments, and generates staffing reports on hours worked, overtime, call-offs, and absenteeism. Adjusts schedules in real-time to ensure appropriate coverage and compliance with labor laws and hospital policies. Tracks and reports on scheduling key performance indicators (KPIs) such as overtime and staffing gaps to improve efficiency. Reviews and maintains employee time and attendance records for accuracy, including clock-in/out, shift differentials, and overtime. Monitors and corrects time discrepancies within 24 hours, ensuring compliance with labor laws and hospital policies. Verifies time records are correctly submitted for payroll processing and departmental chargebacks. Assists with timely and accurate payroll processing, promptly addressing any issues or discrepancies. Ensures timely updates to time and attendance daily edits (e.g., missed punches, shift swaps, absences) to prevent payroll delays. Serves as the primary contact for departments regarding scheduling issues, time and attendance system usage, and policies. Provides guidance on best practices for managing schedules, covering shifts, and handling overtime. Troubleshoots time and attendance system-related issues, including errors, conflicts, and technical challenges. Assists in training new staff or departments on time and attendance usage and scheduling best practices. Assists with managing specialized schedules (e.g., on-call shifts, holidays) and supports department-specific functions such as audits or quality improvement initiatives. Prepares and distributes detailed monthly reports on staffing patterns, absenteeism, and staffing efficiency to department leadership. Provides feedback and recommendations to leadership on improving scheduling practices, reducing staffing challenges, and optimizing resource utilization. Develops strong working relationships with department heads, clinical managers, and stakeholders to understand their unique staffing needs and foster a collaborative environment. Regularly reviews reports to ensure compliance with organizational standards and identifies opportunities for improvement. May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired. One (1) year of clerical or healthcare experience. College or equivalent degree may be substituted for experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Scheduling, timekeeping, or payroll experience within a fast-paced environment. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
