Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data/GCP Engineer with our client in the financial Industry located in Irving, TX. This is a 18+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering, contributing to large-scale planning efforts Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges requiring an in-depth evaluation of variable factors Contribute to the resolution of technical issues and collaborate with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables while ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements Work closely with client personnel in Software Engineering to support project objectives and deliver solutions Required Qualifications 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education Proficiency in ETL/ELT and experience handling data structures through data pipelines for operational purposes Expertise in SQL, Python/Spark, and Data Pipelining Tools Strong background in designing and architecting data pipelines for reporting and other downstream applications using open-source software and cloud technologies Understanding of Databases, Delta Lake (Operational and Analytical Data Store), and reporting concepts to design cloud-based solutions Ability to interpret and work with code from legacy tools such as SSIS, Ab Initio, and SAS Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and problem-solving skills Experience with cloud platforms, with GCP preferred Pay Range: $44-54 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
