Job Description

Danfoss Turbocor is seeking candidates for a Test & Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Research & Development Lab. The successful candidate will be heavily responsible for working with and maintaining various test equipment ("gas test-rigs" and chillers) used in our compressor testing activities.

This position may be required to work our 2nd shift schedule from 2:30PM to 11:00PM Monday through Friday.

Must be available to work other shifts as required.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Functions, Key Tasks, & Responsibilities: (include the following, other duties may be assigned)

o Testing Activities

o Compressor installation and removal (mechanical & electrical)

o Test equipment & compressor configuration & setup

o Perform compressor tests in accordance with formal test requests (TRF)

o Maintain accurate and complete test logs

o Record, organize and report test data in accordance with the TRF

o Maintenance Activities

o Preventative Maintenance

Conduct routine inspections and carry out preventative maintenance procedures on equipment.

o Troubleshooting:

Troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical systems.

o Operational Support:

Collaborate with other departments to ensure overall equipment effectiveness. Provide technical support during equipment installations, upgrades and modifications.

o Work with Contractors:

Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance tasks.

Verify contractor work meets company standards and safety regulations.

o Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Background & Skills

Required Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

o High school diploma or equivalent (Additional technical certifications preferred).

o Minimum 5 years maintenance experience in industrial setting.

o Excellent understanding of electrical/mechanical systems.

o Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints and electrical schematics.

o Motivated and willing to learn.

o Able to work unsupervised.

o Willing to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends and holidays.

Other Competencies:

o Fundamental computer knowledge (Windows, MS Office).

Preferred Qualifications: (Education, Skills, Experience, and/or Languages that are nice to have but not required):

o Coper pipe soldering skills.

o EPA608 certification.

o Refrigeration knowledge a plus.
