Mid-level Geologist

EA is seeking a Mid-Level Geologist to join our team in Sacramento, CA. In this role, you will support project-level Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) activities, ensuring the accuracy, applicability, and compliance of technical documents and fieldwork. You will also mentor junior staff and work collaboratively with a dynamic team to meet project goals.

• Mentorship & Training: Provide guidance, training, and review of planning documents, field activities, data generation, and reports for ongoing investigation, monitoring, and remediation projects.
• Technical Review: Prepare and review planning documents, field notes, analytical data, and reports for technical accuracy, relevance, and completeness.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with project team members and subcontractors (such as laboratories and data validation firms) to implement quality control measures and ensure adherence to project specifications.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Contribute to the development of strategies for analyzing field data and generating comprehensive, accurate reports for clients.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience: 4 to 8 years of experience in environmental/geotechnical consulting or related work.
• Technical Skills:




• Strong proficiency in technical writing, with experience in preparing and reviewing detailed technical reports.
• Experience assessing analytical data and interpreting results for environmental investigations.
• Hands-on experience with multimedia field sampling, including soil, sediment, surface water, groundwater, and air.

Note: This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.
