CPMG offers flexible, integrative solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) contractors, among others, and specializes in cybersecurity, information and operational technology, electronic security surveillance, and support services. Summary: We are seeking a Systems Architect to operate, maintain, and enhance mission-critical systems supporting the U.S. Coast Guard's Recreational Boating Safety Database (RBSDB) and Recreational Boat Testing and Compliance Program (RBCTP).
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Operate, maintain, and optimize the Recreational Boating Safety Database (RBSDB) to ensure its efficiency, security, and compliance.
- Support database software, including open-source and commercially licensed platforms (e.g., Microsoft SQL), enabling seamless updates and transfers.
- Manage and maintain two public-facing websites (uscgboating.org and www.safeafloat.com) to ensure functionality, accuracy, and accessibility.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement technical solutions that align with program objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Federal safety standards, including regulations established under the Federal Boat Safety Act of 1971.
- Conduct system audits and recommend improvements to enhance performance and security.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols to safeguard data and systems.
- Provide technical support for inspections conducted by the Recreational Boat Testing and Compliance Program (RBCTP).
- Document system architecture, ensuring scalability, transferability, and alignment with organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in systems architecture or database management.
- Proficiency with database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL) and website technologies.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and system compliance standards.
- Familiarity with open-source and commercial software solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in government or regulatory environments.
- Knowledge of recreational boating safety programs or similar domains.
- Understanding of accessibility standards for public-facing websites.
