Description

The goal is to offer development in the clinical research program of the Urology Institute at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. The Urology Institute (UI) has a Research Associate (RA) position within the Department of Urology.



  • The RA is expected to carry out complex research assignments focused on urological conditions.
  • The research associate will contribute to the experimental design and executing designed experiments for assigned projects.
  • The RA will participate in the development and implementation of new and/or revised research methodologies and techniques.
  • The RA will collect, analyze, interpret, and evaluate research data.
  • Other responsibilities include preparing scientific manuscripts, articles, abstracts, and research reports for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • The RA will be expected to conduct critical analysis of research literature related to research being investigated.
  • Education requirements include a Bachelors degree, fluency in English, and experience in clinical research.
  • A background in urology medicine and/or urology research is preferred.
  • There will be no supervisory responsibilities required in this role.


This position involves commuting between UH outpatient locations and Cleveland Medical Center and will sometimes require transporting human specimens and/or medical supplies for research purposes

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
