JOB SUMMARY

This is a mid-level position within Health System Affairs that requires proven ability to work in highly complex and dynamic work environment to design and format Health System reports along with defining the business rules for use and display of data to monitor health system performance.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required
  • Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or other related fields.
  • Experience

  • 2 years business analysis and/or project experience with exposure to systems or project development and testing, installation, and training. and
Preferred
  • Experience

  • Previous experience working with tools similar to, but not limited to, Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS while utilizing querying languages similar to SAS, SQL, or R. and

    Previous experience in the healthcare industry.

JOB DUTIES
  • Manages small complex projects and can serve as primary customer contact. Defines and maintains project plan and schedules. Monitors compliance with definitions of project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Assists in the collection and analysis of clinical and financial data to support organizational decision making, clinical and financial initiatives and strategic planning activities. Runs data queries and creates reports as needed to facilitate the process.
  • Provides practical and relevant ideas and perspectives on process or practice improvements which can be easily implemented.
  • Identifies and validates sources of data to include but not limited to: medical records, financial data, patient volumes and benchmark data from outside vendors.
  • Integrates information from various sources to create meaningful presentations for solving business problems (charts, diagrams, process flows, etc).
  • Tests new dashboards, scorecards and other reporting platforms as well as changes to existing reports and models to ensure integrity and quality of data while providing and/or assisting in training of users.
  • Compiles complete, concise, and comprehensive reference or resource materials and operation procedure guides to assist applicable staff.
  • Creates business requirement documents and works with data warehouse team through entire development cycle to implement the requested changes.
  • Documents a full assessment of risksf, issues, assumptions and definitions.
  • Records time spent on projects to meet cost-recovery requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
