ACARA Solutions and our client in Scottsdale, AZ have a 3+ month (possible long-term and contract to hire) opening.
Test Engineer
This is a software based testing position (using hardware to test the software) for a software based ground signal processor for radio product. Test functionality of it. The first 3 months will be writing test procedures in a work station before moving to the lab.
- Working successfully within a team, the Test Engineer will execute the test approach and document system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle.
- Generation of system test work products by applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools.
- Develop test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures for new products.
- Development of functional, environmental, operational, and performance tests on hardware, software, and systems.
- Design, develop, and implement cost-effective testing methods and troubleshoot hardware, software, and systems for all product development and manufacturing phases.
- Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science or Mathematics.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with test engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
- Min 2 years of experience writing test procedures
- Min 3 years of Excel experience
- Min 1 year of Object-Oriented programming (C++, etc.), system processes, and scripting languages a strong plus
- Min 1 year of Linux or Unix experience
Preferred Skills:
- Master's Degree.

- Traditional lab environment tools (spectrum analyzer, RF, etc.)
