Job Description: Paint Technician

Work Location: Mesquite,TX

Work Location & Shifts: 2300 Skyline Dr. Mesquite, TX 75149

Pay: The hourly pay rate range for this position is $20.00+ benefits. Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is specific to Mesquite,TXand may not be applicable to other locations.

Overview

Maintenance and support for paint department equipment, data, materials and staples, mixes glazes and loads/unloads paint line.

What you will do:



  • May choose paint according to application or job
  • Responsible for ensuring doors on the paint prep line remains in motion so line does not stop moving
  • Ensures doors exiting paint booth have no defects or need re-work
  • Moderate level of responsibility to identify defects, make repairs using tools provided, and make decisions for what can/cannot be repaired * Maintain safe and clean work environment


What you will need:



  • Preferably one - twoyear experience in manufacturing setting
  • HS Diploma or GED preferred
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



  • Ability to efficiently use air/hand tools to paint product
  • Knowledge of Paint Equipment and procedures, air regulations and pneumatic equipment operation such as Pneumatic paint tools and accessories
  • Maintain operation and cleanliness of all paint equipment
  • May choose paint according to application or job
  • Responsible for ensuring doors on the paint prep line remain in motion so line does not stop moving
  • Ensures doors exiting paint booth have no defects or need re-work * Moderate level of responsibility to identify defects, make repairs using tools provided, and make decisions for what can/cannot be repaired
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, bending, twisting, stooping, excellent dexterity, must work at a fast pace, fast pace is physically demanding
  • Strong eye/hand coordination. Standing for long continuous hours
  • Constant attention to detail and accuracy of material placement
  • Concentration on proper lifting and ensure floors are kept free of debris
  • Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid any disruptions in production or customer service
  • Follow all operational and safety SOP's as written
  • Performs other miscellaneous jobs as directed
