Position Summary

The Operations Buyer Planner is responsible for tasks associated with procuring parts, subassemblies, finished goods and refurbished units as required to support and maintain delivery commitments to customer installations and deployments. Collaboration in the creation and management of demand requirements and corresponding supply execution. Also manages the RMA process with suppliers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Analyze demand requirements to determine most economical delivery
  • Planning supply to meet customer demand requirements, ensuring pipeline of products to meet on time delivery commitments
  • Manage product flow from order to delivery.
  • Maintain Purchase Order data integrity and ensure promise date integrity
  • Obtain supplier delivery commitments, and expedite if commitments don't meet required dates
  • Drive on-time delivery with suppliers and with customer deployments
  • Collaboration with field service operations resources to ensure successful delivery of products and conformance to installation dates at customer sites
  • Ensure PO pricing reflects the best possible price, or aligns with price changes laid out in supplier MSA's
  • Resolve supplier issues regarding pricing, delivery, receiving, and quality issues
  • Maintain Purchasing attributes - price, lead time, addresses
  • Reviews bills of materials accuracy and integrity
  • Monitor on-time performance of incoming materials
  • Monitor supplier performance to a continuous improvement plan, collaboration with vendor to drive continuous improvement
  • Purchase materials for manufacturing and engineering requirements as assigned
  • Make decisions and/or recommendations to drive lowest cost of ownership while maintaining commitments on customer deliveries
  • Initiates, sponsors, and implements changes to RMA process where needed
  • Manage refurbishment process to ensure that returned assets are assessed and restored
  • Management of parts to ensure sufficient materials to maintain fleet of gaming terminals in the field.
  • Engage in quality challenges and remediation of issues with vendors impacting quality
  • Management of inventory control and inventory levels
  • Monitors day-to-day supplier compliance to return of product at correct re-work cost
Qualifications

Training and/or Experience

  • Ability to work closely with other departments and suppliers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with all stakeholders in a professional and effective way
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and well organized.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Understanding of drawings and BOM structures
  • Understanding of Inventory Management and Supply Chain
  • NetSuite experience is a plus
  • Oracle experience is a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:

High school diploma, or GED equivalent, and/or post-secondary degree.
