Job Title: Engineering Aid, Location: Hackleburg, AL Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and keep a Secret security clearance Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required (ITAR Compliance) Overview: IS4S is actively seeking a motivated Engineering Aid to support our North Alabama Range facility. This role supports Department of Defense (DoD) research and development efforts across multiple domains including High Voltage pulse power, Directed Energy Weapons, Energetic systems, munitions design, testing, and support, tactical power systems, and counter-UAS technologies. We are specifically seeking candidates with a background in Drafting, Design, and 3D Modeling, with experience with SolidWorks. This position offers the chance to apply those skills directly to real-world engineering challenges, from prototype development to field test support to test setup and design . Whether you're a recent graduate or have years of experience, this is a unique opportunity to be hands-on in support of advanced defense systems. Key Responsibilities: Produce and modify technical drawings and models for components, systems, fixtures, and testing apparatuses Use SolidWorks to create 2D and 3D models supporting R&D and prototyping efforts Collaborate with engineers and technicians to develop precise, build-ready designs Assist in fabrication processes and test setup, including use of hand tools and physical labor in outdoor settings Track hardware, equipment, and property using U.S. Government systems Provide documentation support using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Maintain adherence to Government contract standards and ITAR compliance Experience with surveying, including use of a total station Imaging, high speed camera setup and maintenance Preferred Skills & Qualifications: Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Drafting, Design & 3D Modeling Technology or similar discipline Proficiency with SolidWorks Familiarity with technical drawing standards across mechanical, architectural, civil, or structural drafting Understanding of material specifications and manufacturing documentation Hands-on experience supporting R&D, prototyping, or field testing environments Self-starter attitude with the ability to work in small teams and independently U.S. Government contracting or property tracking experience is a plus 2-5 years of experience Ability to obtain a Secret DoD Security Clearance
