Manufacturing Engineering Intern

The Role:

The Manufacturing Engineer intern position allows a dedicated resource to focus on improving Chaska's manufacturing processes which is vital for Entegris to maintain its cost effectiveness and maintain its expected lead times. In this role, the intern will work with cross functional teams on process improvement and set up reduction projects which enable improved manufacturing capacity and predictability in Operations.

In this role you will:

• Evaluate manufacturing set up times and inefficiencies. Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Implement changes to mitigate production capacity issues and reduce set up times.

• Utilize 5S and lean principles to organize and optimize the manufacturing work spaces in various manufacturing processes.

• Design and implement process improvement solutions.

• Participate in large scale project implementation

• Investigate and resolve production challenges

• Design and implement fixturing for improved manufacturing capabilities

• Attend daily production manufacturing meetings

• Provide project updates through meetings, emails and presentations

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

• Self-driven, creative and motivated individual that can work independently or in a team environment.

• Desired Major: Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Systems Engineering

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of May 2025 or later.

• >2 years of college completed in some type of engineering program

• CAD proficiency

• Ability to deliver results in a timely manner that meet the organization standards.

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks depending on importance
