Position Highlights

The Coordinator, Faculty and Leadership Recruitment, is a vital part of the Office of Academic and Faculty Affairs (OAFA). This person manages the process for college-level faculty and leadership recruitment efforts and works in close partnership with key stakeholders, including representatives from affiliate partner sites, college leadership and more to ensure successful searches. This person also provides training and support to department administrative teams as they conduct department-level faculty and leadership searches.

Duties & Responsibilities

Faculty and Leadership Recruiting:

  • Execute the faculty and leadership recruitment process from posting to final candidate visit.
  • Manage complex communication and interview schedules with candidates, search committees and other key stakeholders, which includes clinical affiliate leaders.
  • Conduct search committee training and provide resources to ensure consistency and fairness in the recruitment process.
  • Coordinate recruitment process with search firms when contracted.

Faculty and Leadership Recruitment Support:

  • Prepare detailed reports on recruitment activities and outcomes to inform decision-making and strategic planning; create and maintain recruitment dashboards.
  • Responsible to maintain recruitment records in compliance with the university, college and federal guidelines.
  • Manage finance paperwork for recruitment efforts in alignment with the university policies and assigned budget.
  • Consult and provide guidance to search committees when needed.

Other Recruitment Duties:

  • Provide recruitment guidance to administrative teams for department-level faculty and leadership recruitments; May work with Talent Acquisition team to develop resources as needed.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics and trends to assess the effectiveness of implemented strategies; identify areas for improvement, need for resource development and training.
  • Coordinate with Banner - University Medical Group leaders and faculty for internal call recruitment effort to support needs from the Office of Undergraduate Medical Education and other college units.
  • Serve on committees, work groups or project teams that support the recruitment initiatives set by the College of Medicine - Phoenix.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an academic medicine setting.
  • Experience with Smartsheet.
