StandardAero Houston is a premier business aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility specializing in the service of mid-sized corporate jets. We support an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Falcon, Hawker, Learjet, and Embraer. In addition to comprehensive airframe services, the facility features a state-of-the-art engine shop and test cell, performing overhauls on TFE731 and CFE738 engines. With a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, StandardAero Houston is dedicated to keeping business aviation flying safely and efficiently. This Turbine Mechanic will work in our Engine Shop, performing overhauls on TFE731 and CFE738 turbofan engines (all models). This includes engine disassembly, inspection, identifying and correcting discrepancies, engine builds, and engine performance testing. What to expect in this role:
- Perform turbofan overhauls, including disassembly, inspection, and reassembly in MRO test cell environment.
- Inspect engine parts upon removal, taking measurements to match upon re-assembly utilizing calipers, borescopes, and micrometers.
- Evaluates removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies.
- Documents all work accomplished in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
- Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directive.
- Reads and interprets maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams.
- Responsible for knowing, understanding, following, promoting, and continuously improving company policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Previous military or technical school training with turbofan maintenance.
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with TFE 731 and/or CFE 738 engines.
- Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License (A&P).
- Factory authorized / OEM training or certifications.
