Job Title: Manufacturing R&D Engineer Location with zip code: 375 Airlift Dr San Antonio TX 78226 Duration: 12+ months (Contract to hire) Payrate : $50-$70/hr. on W2 without benefits Shift: 1st Shift Note: Must have a Bachelor's Degree. Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance Post start. Must Comfortable working onsite. Interview Information: Onsite interview, 45 mins, panel. Required Skills: 3D modeling tools. 3D Printing. Technology Implementation. installation, teardown. aircraft mechanical/structural buildup. Job Description: Assists with definition of requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and/or maintenance of products. Drafts engineering specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processe Assists with development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements. Performs routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements. Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry 2+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Manufacturing Research and Development experience in mechanical/structures assembly, materials and processes engineering, and/or manufacturing research and development 1+ years' experience with 3D modeling tools Project Management Experience Preferred Qualifications: 3D Printing Experience. Rapid Solution Creation and Deployment. Technology Implementation experience. Knowledge of Electrical installation, teardown and troubleshooting. Knowledge of aircraft mechanical/structural buildup and teardown.
