Genesis10 is seeking a Sr Business Systems Analyst with Quality Assurance for a 2+ month contract with our client in Minnetonka, MN. 100% Remote.

Summary:

The Business Analyst plays a critical role in engaging stakeholders to understand their business needs, gathering, analyzing, documenting, and delivering requirements. You will work in a fast-paced environment where it is critical to deliver documented requirements just-in-time for sprint execution.

The Business Analyst will work closely with the IT Product Owner. You will work in the team's product backlog, writing user stories that capture more detail over time and prioritizing in conjunction with the strategic direction of the PO and business stakeholders. During sprint execution you will be a primary advocate of the requirements to the delivery team.

In addition to performing the Business Analyst role for this scrum team, we are also looking for a candidate that is interested in performing some Quality Assurance responsibilities included below.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Product Owner in grooming the product backlog
  • Gather and document requirements from business stakeholders
  • Create user stories
  • Assist in defining acceptance criteria in stories
  • Help the development team document the risks and issues
  • Work with the development team in completing stories planned for the sprint
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing with the business stakeholders
  • Proactively identify risks and dependencies and escalate to Product Owner as necessary
  • The Quality Analyst is responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing test processes and procedures. The QA Analyst portion of this role will be able to lead QA portion of this project from test strategy through to execution.
  • Ability to show analytical qualities through information gathering and preparation in the form of business requirements, test plans and scenarios, presentations, diagrams, etc.
  • Written and verbal communication to communicate effectively with developers, business analysts, project managers, functional managers and business partners.
  • Experience in Agile QA and SDLC lifecycles, best practices, and tools.
  • Advanced ability to think through negative and alternate test scenarios.
  • Technical skills to understand development environments, solution architecture, servers, version control, data modeling, scripting, and test automation tools
  • Ability to formulate test strategy, test planning and test data creation and management
  • MUST become a key contributor in all works sessions and scrums (or waterfall sessions) by having the ability to think quickly and provide analysis, questions and facts to the team
  • Ability to partner effectively with business teams and become their advocate and SME.


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years Business Analysis experience
  • 2+ years of Agile experience, working on a scrum team
  • Understanding of Scrum practices as they relate to requirements management backlog management and grooming, user stories, acceptance criteria, just-in-time detail, sprint planning, etc.
  • Excellent technical analysis, verbal communication and requirements documentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and responding to change


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in healthcare industry
  • Familiarity with Java based applications
  • Experience performing in a QA role



Compensation:

Hourly W2 pay rate: 65-$70/hr W2
