Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Developer Consultant with our client in the transportation industry in their Atlanta, GA location. This is a 12 + month contract position. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with cloud services Optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency and performance Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or similar Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery Implement security best practices and compliance requirements Automate deployment, scaling, and management of cloud resources Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and industry trends Design, deploy, and manage scalable and reliable cloud-based databases (AWS RDS) Monitor database performance, implement backup and recovery strategies, and optimize database queries and schemas for efficiency Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate controls, encryption, and data masking techniques Design and manage cloud storage solutions (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage) to support a variety of data types and access patterns Design, develop, and maintain APIs using best practices and industry standards (e.g., REST, GraphQL) Implement API gateway solutions (e.g., AWS API Gateway, Apigee) to manage and secure API traffic Monitor API performance, usage, and security, implementing rate limiting, authentication, and authorization as needed Develop and deploy serverless applications using AWS Lambda Integrate Lambda functions with other AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, and API Gateway Implement event-driven architectures using Lambda to respond to changes in data, user requests, or system events Optimize Lambda functions for performance and cost-efficiency Monitor and troubleshoot Lambda functions using AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools Ensure high availability and scalability of serverless applications Design and implement event-driven architectures using AWS EventBridge and Amazon SQS Requirements: Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and more Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes Highly experienced with AWS database, data warehousing, and storage management Highly experienced with API management Extensive experience with AWS Lambda Experience with security tools and standards (PingID, OIDC, OAuth2.0) Experience with analytics (AWS Athena) Experience with DevOps tools: AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI/CD, Helm, Docker, Kubernetes Experience working with IAM services in AWS - AWS IAM, Roles, Policies, Security Groups Experience with cloud monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
