JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A Research Technologist Medical Sciences position is immediately available in the Penn State College of Medicine, Heart and Vascular Institute, in Hershey, PA. Our research spans from human to animal, employing novel imaging and electrophysiologic techniques such as flow cytometry, vesicular analysis, and echocardiography, and the desired candidate should be motivated to learn new techniques and apply them in research with guidance from the PI. This position will be expected to maintain transgenic animal colonies and conduct their genotyping analysis, maintain cell lines, conduct flow cytometric analysis of inflammatory immune responses in different tissues, and assist with ordering, receiving, SOP's and regulatory oversight. Candidate will also be expected to analyze the data collected and help the PI in writing manuscripts/grants originating from this data. Candidates with all levels of experience will be considered and position/work will be given pursuant to candidate's experience level.
