The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Scrum Master to serve our diverse base of global clients. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Location: this is an onsite role in Hartford, Connecticut

Responsibilities:

- Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

- Oversee the implementation of agile methodologies and ensure adherence to Scrum principles.

- Provide guidance and support to the development team to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.

- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams.

- Identify and remove impediments that hinder the teams progress.

- Ensure the team is focused on delivering value to the customer and meeting project goals.

- Monitor and report on team performance and progress to stakeholders.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

- Collaborate with product owners to prioritize and manage the product backlog.

- Coach team members on agile best practices and principles.

- Ensure alignment of project goals with business objectives and customer needs.

- Drive the adoption of agile tools and practices to enhance team productivity

Qualifications

- We are seeking a Scrum Master with 6 to 9 years of experience to join our dynamic team.

- The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a Scrum Master

- Have excellent communication and facilitation skills.

- Exhibit strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities

- Have experience in managing and prioritizing product backlogs

- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Project, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access, Excel, Word

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $110,000- $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
