Responsibilities
Howmet Aerospace Inc. is currently in search of a Sourcing & Governance Specialist to join the Financial Shared Services group in Pittsburgh, PA. The Sourcing & Governance Specialist will manage critical supplier relationships with support and direction from the Senior Manager. Within Financial Shared Services a Central Procurement team is responsible for a number of Corporate Administrative Services & IT assigned Categories, including, but not limited to; EHS, HR, Insurance, IT, Legal, Financial Services. The overall goal is to achieve the best total cost position for all external spend within the Global Category, the lowest sourcing risks, best supplier performances to ensure the highest efficiency and effectiveness. Primary functional responsibility includes:
- Serve as a point of contact for supplier issues within the assigned categories including issues related to service, commercial terms and contract disputes.
- Execute global best-in-class procurement processes using state-of-the-art procurement IT software support, ensuring the Category Management organization is utilizing the maximum potential within global and local markets (Cost Savings, Innovation, Quality, Logistics).
- Provide support for the maintenance of procurement standards into daily practices across the procurement organization, ensuring consistency and compliance.
Major Activities/Key Challenges:
- Achieve Procurement targets worldwide for assigned categories (cost, innovation, quality)
- Develops and executes Procurement strategies such as Low Cost Country Sourcing strategies
- Maintains business relationships with representatives of strategic suppliers for category
- Leads, co-leads, or supports commercial sourcing activity across all categories as required to meet company objectives (e.g. e-Auction, RfX processes)
- Leads, co-leads, or supports non-commercial events as required to meet objectives, including, but not limited to Kaizen workshops, Working Capital/Inventory Workshops
- Executes contract negotiations/Terms and Conditions with suppliers classified in category
- Accountable for Performance areas: Cost Savings (SRT), Supplier performance, challenging of material & service specifications (demand management)
- Monitor and measure compliance with procurement policies and processes including contract management, vendor life cycle policy, use of PO policy, etc.
- Maintain procurement guidelines, processes and procedure compliance as well as process adherence to meet requirements (Ex. data protection regulations, Conflict Minerals, Contract Management Systems, Supplier Sustainability, Global Procurement Procedures and SOX Audit)
- Support pre-/post procurement audit activities and work with users to educate them in case of audit, Segregation of Duty (SOX) violations
- Update/document process flows and data maps in response to risk assessment, updating on a regular basis
- Lead and/or participate on project teams as required or assigned

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
- 5 years of work experience in purchasing
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated presentation/ communication / facilitation skills (oral and written).
- Ability to develop and implement data governance and standards
- Capable of managing multiple objectives simultaneously
- Experience working successfully across organizational and functional boundaries to solve problems and implement solutions
- Ability to quickly build relationships and gain trust with individuals at all levels
Salary Range: $80 - 105k/year approximation (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location). ,
