**This is a remote opportunity based out of any city/state in the U.S.**

About the role

Working remotely or at one of our offices located across the country, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel for our various commercial real estate services business lines across the U.S., with a focus on brokerage services. You will be responsible for contract negotiation, review and drafting, risk management and general legal advice. You may assist in review of internal shared services documentation from time to time, including leases and vendor agreements and you will develop positive and collaborative relationships with employees across the organization.

What you bring

  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school and a member of at least one State Bar in good standing

  • 3 to 8 yrs of experience: In -house experience (particularly within the commercial real estate or professional services industry) preferred but not required.

  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinker with focus on practical client advice on legal risks

  • Possess strong organizational, time management and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

  • Knowledge of general commercial law and real estate agreements & transactions preferred

What success looks like

  • Using your excellent judgement to actively solve legal matters, you will successfully provide legal counsel to a range of business lines across the U.S

  • Become a trusted advisor to our service line professionals to assist them in reaching their goals.

  • Assist in review of internal shared services documentation from time to time, including vendor agreements and other procurement documents.

  • Support senior legal colleagues and business line leadership with research and other projects as required.

  • Develop and conduct legal training sessions.

  • Develop positive and collaborative relationships with members of Colliers to ensure a common understanding of objectives and service level agreements.

  • Perform other job related duties as may be assigned.

Approximate Salary Range for Role: $127,175.00 to $185,000.00 per annum

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes an employer match. Employees will also receive 10 days of sick leave and a minimum of 15-days vacation annually. Certain senior-level roles are eligible for unlimited time off. Employees will also enjoy 10 paid holidays plus two personal flex days throughout the calendar year. 12 weeks (for birth parents) and 4 weeks (for non-birth parents, including adoptive/foster parents) for paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of 90 days of employment.

Bonus

This position is eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual performance.
