GARNEY CONSTRUCTION

AnEstimating Coordinatorjob based out of our Nashville, TN office is available at Garney Construction. This is a full-time, salaried position with full benefits and participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). We are seeking a self-motivated individual to join our growing Estimating Team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Order plans & specs, monitor addendum notifications, keep internal site and online plan room current.
  • Keep estimating calendar.
  • Organize, maintain, and prepare bid documents.
  • Send solicitations and obtain quotes from vendors and subcontractors for upcoming bids.
  • Maintain documents on plan room, post plans, addendums, etc.
  • Assist with bond and insurance requests as they relate to preconstruction requirements.
  • Manage DBE outreach, solicitation, and tracking.
  • Database management of bid history results and Subcontractors.
  • Annual qualification renewals and prequalification documents.
  • Assist with new project setup and execution of contracts.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


*Experience with pre-construction, estimating, and/or contracts.

*Ability to execute contracts, including P&P bonds, insurance (general, builder's risk, railroad, etc.), signatures, and any special owner requirements.

*Proficiency in completing MWBE forms.

*Strong organizational skills to manage logins and passwords.

*Possess a notary license or the ability to obtain one upon hire, including knowledge of the state's notary laws and requirements.

*Experience processing tax-exempt applications.

*Ability to search for job opportunities using Dodge Reports, owner websites, and Nashville estimating email.

*Proactive approach to identifying and engaging new subcontractors and vendors.

*Strong scheduling skills to maintain a calendar for pre-bid meetings, outreach events, AWWA, etc.

*Experience managing and updating a subcontractor/vendor database.

*Strong communication skills to serve as the point of contact for Garney website and voicemail inquiries.

*Ability to stay current with changes in Garney's bid documents and prequalification requirements.

*Experience with SharePoint or similar document management systems.

*Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and either Adobe or BlueBeam.

*Willingness to assist the marketing team with proposals as needed.

*Ability to handle job closeout processes, including consent of surety and final documentation.

*Above-average ability to deliver on commitments within expected guidelines and timelines.

*Two years of experience in the construction, architectural, or engineering industry is ideal, but not mandatory.

*Knowledge of construction specifications, particularly front-end document
