Description
Thrive Behavioral Health is looking for a Full-Time Intake Coordinator to join the team and work in our Rosedale office. The Intake Coordinator serves as an initial point of contact for potential clients and referring parties of the facility, provide excellent customer service to both clients and referring parties. They enter all information into databases and work closely with staff in facility programs to ensure that the referral has most potential for success ***Plus, possible $50.00/hour for translation services. Primarily Spanish to English/English to Spanish. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1. Establishes and maintains trusting and professional relationships with referring parties in order to understand the referring parties' needs, being aware that many referring parties call in an effort to transfer clients to other programs or seek additional help for clients in need of multiple services. 2. Works closely with the Clinic Director and Program Supervisors to assist with assigning clients to clinicians 3. Maintains accurate databases detailing which clients are referred to treatment, when cases are opened/closed, etc. 4. Collaborates with Directors to identify and remedy any barriers to clients receiving services. 5. Accurately and timely enters client data into facility Electronic Medical Record (EMR).\ 6. Prepares various documents and handles confidential matters in accordance with clinic rules and procedures. 7. Tracks referrals on a daily basis and provides weekly and monthly reports to appropriate facility staff/departments. 8. Upon receipt of critical safety information during the screening process, promptly notifies appropriate Director for further evaluation. 9. Follows up with clients who have not successfully initiated services. 10. Performs other duties and tasks as required. At least 2 years of experience in a medical or mental health office/setting as an intake coordinator is strongly preferred. Having a bachelors degree in social work, counseling or similar fields is strongly desired. Also, the successful candidate should have: 1. Knowledge of industry standards as related to the position of Intake Coordinator. 2. Basic knowledge of PC software programs, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel & Outlook is preferred. 3. Effective written and oral communication skills; must be able to concentrate on work amid distractions such as noise, conversations and foot traffic. 4. The ability to work independently with little supervision in an unstructured environment with multiple demands. 5. A reading and writing level that provides for clear expression and/or understanding of assignments related to job description. 6. full awareness of all facility programs, their eligibility requirements, competencies and strengths. 7. The ability to consistently consult with supervisor when necessary. 8. The skills to be organized, flexible, and able to demonstrate self-motivation and prioritization. 9.
