Overview

Job Purpose

The Market Strategy Analyst will be responsible for developing and supporting competitive and strategic analysis for the NYSE Equities and Options business. Areas of analysis include tracking business KPI's, client performance and opportunities, commercial performance, competitive positioning, industry initiatives, new business initiatives, and impact of technology and regulatory changes. The results of this analysis will help drive business decisions and strategic planning, as well as support and grow client and other stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic competitive efforts and lead client relationship development
    • Create robust revenue verification processes for both equities and options transactions businesses
      • Includes reporting and analysis capabilities for both current revenue projections and longer-term revenue forecasting
    • Work with finance and business teams to streamline billing efforts and improve client experience with pricing tiers
    • Work with equities and options market development teams to provide analysis around pricing changes and new products to grow revenue and market share
    • Work with sales team and business development teams on key client efforts
    • Leverage new technologies to build data science/machine learning models to extract insights from trading data, unlocking new opportunities for business and driving product development and enhancement and understanding of market trends
    • Support strategic efforts for the markets business, including new product opportunities, new addressable markets, and optimal uses of existing assets

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field of study, graduate degree is a plus
  • 2+ years of experience in electronic trading, exchange operations, or another trading or investment function
  • Must have experience with SQL, Tableau, Sigma, and advanced Excel for data analysis
  • Fundamental knowledge of Python, R, or other common language(s) - strongly preferred
  • Understanding of data science/machine learning techniques is a plus
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily deadlines
  • Intellectually curious with the ability to solve real world business problems using quantitative and computational techniques

New York Base Salary Range

The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between 82,400 - 108,200 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual. Regular full-time ICE employees are eligible for a suite of competitive employee benefits, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental and vision), a 401(k) plan, life insurance, time off, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.
