Empire Distributors Inc, A Leading Beverage Distributor is now hiring a Human Resources Manager. Summary Implements, manages, and monitors compliance of all policies and standards relating to Teammate Resource activities, by performing the following duties personally or through the Teammate Resources team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Teammate Resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting compliance. Works directly with the Corporate Teammate Resources Department to maintain corporate standards. Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. Responds to inquiries from teammates regarding policies and procedures. Assists and trains management with company policy, benefits, safety, and Teammate Handbook questions when necessary. Assists and trains management in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters or resolving teammate relations issues. Consults with Corporate Teammate Resources as needed. Approve and monitor the accuracy of job descriptions. Manage and coordinate performance review programs to ensure effectiveness and compliance with Company policy. Coaches and provides guidance to management throughout the recruiting and hiring process. Creates and presents training programs. Assist and verify the effectiveness of teammate resources programs. Acts as liaison between teammate and Corporate Benefits Manager to clarify benefit and policy information. Ensures compliance and maintenance of teammate information such as new hires, personal data, employment data, compensation, benefit plan participation, attendance, leave of absence, performance evaluations, required permits, training, and terminations in conjunction with Teammate Resources Generalist. Responds to all Department of Labor, Unemployment Compensation Division and Workers Compensation Board requests for information, along with representing the Company at appeals, hearings, and any other required meetings. Reviews and approves all payroll and TR transactions in ADP. Processes bi-weekly payroll change sheet for the Corporate Payroll Department. Creates and provides reports for leadership as needed. Recommends and assists with the budget process and creates State Teammate Resources budget. Leads and collaborates with direct reports to foster their professional growth and development. Travels to other locations as needed. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises the TR Generalist and carries out supervisory responsibilities per the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training teammates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining teammates; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 2 plus years of related HR experience; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (advanced preferred) and HRIS (ADP Preferred).
