POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Human Resources Generalist is a critical member of the HR team with responsibility of ensuring the HR department is running efficiently to help deliver business results; examples include developing and implementing effective Human Resource policies, programs, and processes to support our Shared Services and Ski Butlers team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
General Responsibilities
- Assist with the implement of HR policies, programs, and processes to support team member needs.
- Use HR analytics and identifies trends in employee-related issues, turnover, and performance; conduct exit interviews, 30/60/90 day check-ins and utilize EES data to recommend areas for improvement.
- Provide services in employee relations investigations, terminations, performance management, and career pathing.
- Handle inquiries from employees and people-leaders, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Assist with the organization's performance management process by coaching and providing feedback to managers.
- Oversee the employee perks programs; identifies trends and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct new hire orientations in partnership with the HR Ops team.
- Collaborate with management to develop positive culture-building programs.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Serve as a mentor to the HR Coordinator.
- Oversee control testing for HR-based workflows in collaboration with internal audit
- Maintain employee records in Workday and collaborate with HRIS team to make decisions & improvements for the enterprise
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-6 years of progressive Human Resource professional experience
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across all levels of the organization.
- Professional/lived experience working in a culturally competent manner with a diverse range of people.
- Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Working knowledge of computers including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred (combination of relevant work experience and education considered)
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of the Company's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Denver area base salary range: $80,000 - $112,000 per year
