Manages total scope of operation at one or multiple Fleet Maintenance repair facility site locations, ensuring they are in top condition to support multiple user areas. Provides strategic and technical leadership, oversight, and management for CPS Energy's long-term Fleet success vision. Responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and effective operation of the Fleet associated with garages under their oversight. Oversees and manages a team of maintenance technicians which may include Fleet Support Specialists, providing guidance, performance evaluation, training, and support as needed. Monitor and analyze Fleet maintenance data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement operational efficiency improvements. Create and maintain relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Fleet management and maintenance operations. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to Fleet operations, environmental compliance, and employment laws, in addition to the Working Conditions for wage-scale employees. Review and approve all invoices ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgetary guidelines. Communicate with other departments and stakeholders to prioritize vehicle services while minimizing disruptions to operations. Continuously evaluate and improve the Fleet management processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity. Serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, safe work, and customer service excellence within the department and the company as a whole. Tasks and Responsibilities
Minimum Skills Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Experience in vehicle and heavy construction equipment repair and maintenance.
Advanced background and/or understanding of vehicle/equipment repair and maintenance with proven experience in Fleet Operations.
Strong communication, cross group collaboration, project management, time management, and ability to influence others.
Keen business acumen. Results oriented and can comprehend/navigate both industry and internal organizational dynamics.
Must have a valid class C Texas Driver's license with a favorable driving record.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail, and scheduling.
Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize quickly.
Ability to build and maintain successful teams with varied talent and skill sets.
Proactive, collaborative leadership style with ability to identify risks and problem solve solutions.
