Position Summary

Trideum Corporation has an opening for a DevSecOps Engineer in Huntsville, AL. We are seeking candidates who are exceptional, innovative, and passionate DevSecOps engineers who want to grow with us. You will be on the ground floor of a new effort to design, develop, test, and employ an effects-based simulation toolkit. This is a rare opportunity to create tools to generate viable data for use in analysis to inform national security decisions. You will provide technical advice as well as design and implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) patterns to enable analytical toolkit modernization to meet customers' current and future needs.

The DevSecOps Engineer is a full-time position at the Trideum headquarters in Huntsville, AL. The role requires creativity and flexibility of patterns while abiding by industry standards and policies as well as Department of Defense (DoD) software development policies and regulations. You will take part in design and code reviews and offer direction to ensure project scoping activities match architectural goals and specifications. When new applications are introduced or current ones undergo changes, you will work with Trideum team members in other business sectors to provide build solutions. In this role, you must be able to analyze the development team's needs, conceptualize solutions, determine the feasibility of design, and know how to apply new technologies to allow for improvement to existing or development of new critical software applications within our client organization.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Work in a high-performance environment using Agile Software Development processes to support system design, architecture, application development, integration, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Create, develop, and implement solutions to address infrastructure and security requirements.
  • Identify the needs for building automation, designing, and implementing CI/CD solutions.
  • Consult on DevSecOps requirements from diverse applications/lines of customers.
  • Create plug-and-play/reusable solutions and patterns for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Create, develop, and implement automation and system integration for various build platforms.
  • Publish and disseminate CI/CD best practices, patterns, and solutions.
  • Work closely with the development, IT, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software.
  • Design, implement, and manage scalable resources and infrastructure (Docker Compose, Dev Containers, etc.).
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline code integration and deployment.
  • Ensure automated testing, code quality checks, and deployment best practices are followed.
  • Monitor and manage logging systems to track performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Conduct regular security audits and assist in addressing findings.
  • Maintain documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures and ensure knowledge share with the team.
  • Update incident tracking tools in accordance with established norms and processes, gather all essential data, and document any discoveries and concerns.
  • Identify management concerns and problems, assess them, and offer prompt solutions and/or escalation.
  • Documenting DevSecOps processes and ensuring that the DevSecOps platforms are up-to-date and properly maintained
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Light travel required.


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or applicable engineering or science field.
  • 5+ years of DevSecOps experience in industry (not academic).
  • Comprehensive technical expertise in a variety of DevSecOps toolkits, including Ansible, Jenkins, Jira, Terraform, Git/Version Control Software, or comparable technologies.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C, C++, C#, TypeScript, React, NodeJS, Python, etc.).
  • Familiarity with information security frameworks and standards.
  • Knowledge of DevOps Automation (e.g., Terraform, GitLab, GitLab Pipelines, etc.).
  • Familiarity with API security and container security.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and services.
  • Experience with security automation and machine learning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to express technical information clearly at different organizational levels.
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.


Desired Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or applicable engineering or science field.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to receive a TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML).
