We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist for our Wichita, KS office.

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function within the operating unit, with a strong focus on employee support and employee benefits. This role requires bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional support to employees and managers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Oversee employee benefits, including enrollments, life status changes, COBRA, leave-of-absence requests, disability paperwork (medical, personal, disability, and FMLA), and ensure accurate payroll deductions.
  • Foster positive employee relations by managing onboarding, offboarding, and performance management processes.
  • Conduct training sessions and support employee development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts for exempt and non-exempt positions, including screening, interviewing, conducting reference checks, extending job offers, and onboarding.
  • Plan and coordinate company events and employee appreciation activities to enhance workplace culture.
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Position Requirements:
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience administering and implementing human resource programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong analytical skills, and comfort working with numbers and spreadsheets.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, establish trust, and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and objectivity while handling sensitive employee matters.
  • Energize workplace culture by implementing creative initiatives that boost team morale and collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
