Requisition ID req32957 Working Title Operations Specialist Position Grade 11 Position Summary The Operations Specialist for the Office of Community Engagement will play a crucial role in connecting our department with the community. This position will report to the director and will be responsible for planning, implementing, designing and evaluating a variety of programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing community involvement. This position will oversee the operational planning, goal and priority setting, establishment of program initiatives and priorities, execution of initiatives, and coordination of the Office of Community Engagement. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups. This role will include student employee coordination, fiscal, operational, administrative, and human resources management. The Operations Specialist, will be responsible for managing and overseeing the administrative and daily operations of OCE, ensuring strict compliance with university, state, and federal policies and regulations. The role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at fostering program growth and success. Responsibilities: See the Position Description for additional information. Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications -Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures. -Strong computer skills, preferably with experience in a Mac or PC, Windows-based operating environment. -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. -Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management. -Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. -Program planning and implementation skills. -Knowledge of contracts and grants preparation and management (preferred). -Experience with community-engaged research (preferred). -Experience in fundraising and program development. At least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, with coordination experience. -A completed degree from an accredited institution may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis. -Experience in community engagement and higher education. -Proficiency in marketing and social media management. -Strong project management and research abilities. -Background in programs and events development -Proficiency in data analysis Additional Requirements Campus Main - Albuquerque, NM Department Provost Office Staff (688A) Employment Type Staff Staff Type Term End Date 2 Year Term Status Exempt Pay Monthly: $3,657.33 - $4,901.87 Benefits Eligible This is a benefits eligible position.
